Matthew Simo is President of the Joshua Green Corporation (JGC) where he supports the company’s public and private investment portfolio and the Joshua Green Foundation. In addition to his responsibilities at JGC, Simo serves as President and CEO at Urban Renaissance Group, a JGC portfolio company, where he leads the company’s vision and long-term strategy.
Simo joined URG at its founding in 2006, advancing from Financial Analyst to CIO and eventually CEO. Under his leadership, URG established itself as the premier local operating partner in the Pacific Northwest with a $7.0 billion diversified portfolio spanning 20 million square feet.
Simo began his career at Trizec Properties in Chicago. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from the Wisconsin School of Business at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and is a graduate of the Advanced Management Development Program in Real Estate at Harvard University.
Simo is an active member of the Urban Land Institute (Industrial and Office Product Council) and the Wisconsin Real Estate Alumni Association. He also serves on the Runstad Department for Real Estate Advisory Board at the University of Washington and has been a lecturer for the University of Washington Commercial Real Estate Certificate Program since 2014.
